butter LONDON was founded by She-Brit Sasha Muir. On moving to the United States, she was shocked at the number of toxic ingredients in cosmetic products. She saw the need for a new brand of hand and nail care products that combined high fashion and health and set about building what is today, a premier British fashion brand.

We believe in colour not carcinogens.
London’s leading manicurist & nail trend spotter, Nonie Creme, joined butter LONDON as its Founding Creative Director to help create a complete range of hand and nail care products without those chemical nasties. 3 Free is what we do and it means No Formaldehyde, No toluene, and No DBP (Phthales). Ever.

We believe nails should be natural – no falsies here.
Together, Sasha and Nonie designed the butter LONDON flagship store, offering full service (and waterless) natural manicures and pedicures with guaranteed hygiene, speed, and stunning results. The butter LONDON SeaTac Airport store is one of a kind with custom wallpaper, black crystal chandelier, and upbeat British tunes.

We believe in Gorgeous. Pretty. Sexy. And Fabulous.
Nails are now a must have fashion accessory – just ask the Fash Pack! Each season we are backstage at Fashion Week collaborating with top designers and developing custom nail lacquer colors on the spot. Now, it’s not very British of us to brag but you should know that we have a knack for creating nail trends not just following them, ahem; British Racing Green was a bit of a hit in 2009.

butter LONDON products (nail lacquer, hand and nail treatments, cremes, and pedicure products) are sold online, at our store and in fashion boutiques and beauty apothecaries across the world.

Sasha Muir, Founder and Director (pictured right)
Sasha holds a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge, UK and an MBA from INSEAD, France. Following a thriving career as a Management Consultant, Sasha set out to build a business that would redefine an entire industry and offer a fulfilling and nurturing environment for its employees. As Founder and Director, Sasha partners with Nonie and the butter LONDON team on branding, marketing, and sales strategy.

Nonie holds a BA in Art History and Fine Arts from Scripps University in California and has always had a passion for nails and fashion. Nonie's work for clients such as Kate Moss, Vogue, H&M, Jimmy Choo, and Lancome, led her to be recognized as London's leading manicurist. She now turns her hand to product design and brand development for butter LONDON, bringing stunning, 3 Free nail care to the global market.
